He was called up to the majors again on June 12, 2011, after an injury sidelined Alberto Callaspo.[2]
Romine's father, Kevin Romine, was a utility outfielder for the Boston Red Sox for his entire career (1985–1991), and his brother, Austin Romine, is currently a catcher for the New York Yankees.
